INWOOD—The Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University in Des Moines through its Iowa Character Award program has awarded Inwood the Community of Character Award.
“The selection committee was deeply impressed by the way your community consistently demonstrates service, resilience, compassion, and support for one another — especially during times of hardship and recovery,” the award notice from the Ray Center states. “Your nominations painted a powerful picture of a community that truly lives out the Six Pillars of Character through everyday actions, strong local leadership, volunteerism and neighborly care.”
