Man will stay jailed in Forest Park car break-ins case, judge rules

ST. LOUIS – A University City man accused of breaking into several vehicles in Forest Park this spring will remain jailed until trial.

A St. Louis Circuit Court judge ordered Jerry J. Hampton, 47, to be held without bond at a detention hearing Monday morning.

Hampton is charged with six counts of second-degree burglary and 10 counts of fraudulent use of a credit or debit device. His next court appearance will be on Aug. 31 for a confined docket hearing. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 25…
