Denver7 Morning Anchor Anusha Roy and Denver7 North Metro Reporter Maggie Bryan were joined by viewer volunteers in Arvada on Saturday, Aug. 22 for the latest Denver7 Gives volunteer event. The team helped build affordable housing with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver.
“The need for Habitat for Humanity is now greater than it has ever been,” Jeanne Fischetti with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver said during the event.
Fischetti pointed to the rising cost of housing in metro Denver, noting that the median price of a single-family home is now well above $600,000, making homeownership difficult for many families.

Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteers to help build homes and expand access to affordable housing.
