ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The final matchup between the Albuquerque Isotopes and Las Vegas Aviators saw the ‘Topes fall to their flying rivals.
Isotopes only won one game in the series prior to Sunday. They gave up three runs in the top of the first inning. Sterling Thompson started things off with the RBI.. Later in the third, with bases loaded and one out for Chad Stevens, he drops one right in left-center field. The runner from the corner comes home to make it a two-run game again.
Next up is the newbie, Roc Riggio. He grounds out to second but the aviators can’t complete the double play and end the inning. That mistake gave the Isotopes the opportunity to score and tie the game…
