CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Early risers across the Lowcountry were treated to a bright sight in the predawn sky Tuesday as a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched from Florida and became visible along portions of the South Carolina coast.
The Falcon 9 lifted off around 5:33 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, carrying 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit.
According to SpaceX, the mission marked the 37th flight of the Falcon 9 first-stage booster supporting the launch. After completing its portion of the mission, the booster successfully landed on the company’s droneship, Gravitas, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean…
