POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 30-year-old Lakeland woman is behind bars after attempting to evade a deputy on Monday, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities arrested Alexus Nicole Dupree on August 24, 2026, along Nokonis Avenue in Lakeland.
According to the sheriff’s office reports, a deputy patrolling the area spotted Dupree standing in the front yard of a home. Recognizing her from previous interactions, the deputy was aware Dupree had an active Polk County warrant for violation of probation tied to a prior petit theft charge…
