CHICAGO. (WSAV) — A man accused of child molestation in Savannah, Georgia was found over 14 hours away in Chicago, Illinois, law enforcement officials announced Aug. 14.
Twenty-five-year-old Jalynn Montgomery is accused of sending an obscene photo of himself to a child, officials said. Montgomery was wanted by the Savannah Police Department in connection to the incident but was ultimately arrested by Cook County Sheriff’s Office officials in Chicago.
The U.S. Marshals Southeast Fugitive Task Force contacted officers and requested assistance in locating the 25-year-old on July 29, a CCSO spokesperson said. Officers then learned that he may be living in the 6600 block of South Rockwell Street in Chicago and what vehicle he might drive.
On Aug. 12, officers began surveillance near the home and watched for the SUV, a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva, driving towards the garage when they stopped the vehicle…
