At least six businesses were destroyed or damaged and a firefighter was hospitalized when a four-alarm fire ripped through a building in West Arlington on Monday afternoon.
More than 80 firefighters from Arlington and nearby Pantego were called to put out the large fire at 2410 West Abram Street. According to Lt. Juan Mata of the Arlington Fire Department, firefighters were sent to Beirut Grill at about 5:37 p.m. and the first-arriving firefighters reported heavy smoke coming from the one-story building.
A second alarm was called, and about 30 minutes later, all units were ordered to evacuate the building, and a third alarm was called. By 6:27 p.m., the fire was upgraded to four alarms…
