Developer expresses interest in building data center in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — While the city is currently on pause regarding data center development, a developer shared a summary of his potential future plan to repurpose a property with Ozarks First.

Trent Overhue expressed interest in a building located at 2900 South National Avenue. In his summary, he said that the first floor would feature an office, and the basement would house the data processing facility.

Overhue says that because the center would be small, it would create less noise. Especially because it would be underground and would feature sound walls to prevent further noise pollution…
