BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is remembering an officer who was killed in the line of duty over century ago.
The police department made a social media post on Tuesday saying they are honoring and remembering Officer Aaron Alexander Trent, who died on Aug. 25, 1917.

BPD said Trent was involved in a traffic accident while traveling north on Baker Street that resulted in his death.
