DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Trotwood Mayor Yvette F. Page will honor the people who saved her life when she had a medical emergency while speaking at a public event this May.
Premier Health will host a Cardiac Save Award Presentation on Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds to recognize everyone who helped Mayor Page, including the following:
- 911 caller, Rhonda Minniefield.
- Bystander who provided CPR and used an AED, Alyssa Morgan.
- Assisted with CPR, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy John Ashworth.
- The Jefferson Twp. Fire Department and Trotwood Fire Department.
“Premier Health’s EMS Center of Excellence reviews out-of-hospital cardiac arrests and their outcomes and recognizes the individuals whose actions contribute to a patient’s recovery,” wrote organizers. “The recognition highlights the importance of the Chain of Survival, which begins with recognizing a cardiac emergency and calling 911 and includes early CPR, rapid defibrillation, emergency medical care, and hospital treatment.”
