(KRON) – A trio of alleged thieves were arrested in a string of strong-armed chain snatching robberies, according to the San Jose Police Department on Tuesday. During their arrest, a recent victim approached police and helped them locate her stolen jewelry on one of the suspects.
SJPD said the suspects are identified as Ruxandra Constantin, 30, Caldararu Constantin, 36, and Constantin Constantin, 34. They are not related to each other, said police.
SJPD confirmed officers responded to a report of a strong-armed robbery on Aug. 20, just before 3 p.m. in a business parking lot in the 5300 block of Almaden Expressway. Police said an an elderly woman was confronted by a woman “who forcibly took her ring and gold chain necklace before fleeing the scene in a vehicle operated by an adult male driver.”
SJPD said its Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) identified a suspect vehicle by using Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras and tracked the vehicle leaving San Jose…
