Miami-Dade felon accused of stealing ‘$30,000 worth of U-Haul dollies’

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A northeast Miami-Dade man with a long criminal history is facing a grand theft charge after deputies said he stole “$30,000 worth of U-Haul dollies” from a business near Doral.

Juan Mendes, 40, is accused of targeting Express Bags Inc. at 7500 NW 55th St., a luggage and equipment transporter which, according to its website, works with clients including professional sports teams and music artists.

Deputies said at around 10:40 p.m. on Jan. 26, Mendes pulled up to the business in a Chevrolet Tahoe and attached the six dollies to the SUV and drove them away…
