The wildlife rescue organization Wildlife Care of Southern California is asking for the public’s help funding treatment for a coyote in the Studio City area that has suffered from abscess or a growth on its face for more than a year.
The coyote, known as “Wendy” or “Sunshine” by local residents, has been seen approaching homes in the area. Wildlife experts are hoping to catch the coyote and give her medical care.
“She has made quite a few friends in the area, seen standing in the street or at people’s doors looking for help,” Wildlife Care of Southern California said. “We have been actively in the area for 4 weeks now, with the help of the community, trying to capture her so we can get her the help she needs.”
