MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A man in Martin County who crashed into a church is accused of driving under the influence and fleeing from police, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
MCSO says that on Monday, Geremias Pascual, 28, was seen swerving onto the grass while traveling northbound on SW Washington Avenue through a residential neighborhood. Despite deputies’ attempts to stop him, Pascual simply wouldn’t stop.
Eventually, MCSO deputies used a PIT maneuver to slow down the SUV Pascual was traveling in, but that didn’t work either. In fact, Pascual only started going faster after the attempted PIT maneuver…
