ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A comparison of grocery prices across eight major supermarkets reveals significant savings for shoppers willing to change where they buy their food.
The online magazine Allrecipes took the same list of 37 everyday items to eight grocery stores and always chose the least expensive option, buying store brands when available. Five of the stores are in the Rochester area.
