Meridian child hospitalized in Teton Pass crash. Advocates call for change

A Meridian girl was seriously injured in a crash last week in western Wyoming, and advocates say the incident highlights the need for roadway changes through the Teton Pass.

Wyoming Highway Patrol said it responded to a crash on Wyoming Highway 22 at about 9 p.m. on Aug. 17. The accident involved a passenger vehicle and an RV pulling a trailer, according to a news release. Initial 911 calls describing a larger crash turned out to be inaccurate.

Police confirmed that a juvenile passenger in the RV was “airlifted with serious injuries,” and an online fundraiser identified the child involved as an 11-year-old from Meridian…
