Life Time’s proposed first Forsyth County location has moved well beyond the “considering” stage.
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved zoning applications tied to the planned athletic country club during its Aug. 20 meeting, clearing an important land-use hurdle for the large Post Road development. The approval comes roughly two months after Life Time’s interest in the property first became public.
The newly available county documents also provide a much clearer picture of what Life Time has in mind. Plans call for a 100,000-square-foot indoor commercial recreational facility accompanied by 49,533 square feet of outdoor recreational space on nearly 17 acres. The site plan provides 619 parking spaces, making the proposed club one of the more substantial new lifestyle developments planned for western Forsyth.
A Much Bigger Picture Than in June
