Scotia man charged with trying to murder taxi driver arraigned

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- A Scotia man faces attempted murder charges after police said he robbed, stabbed and stole a taxi in Colonie.

Jonathan Tejada was arraigned the morning of Wednesday, August 26, in Albany County Court. Tejada is accused of robbing and stabbing a taxicab driver in Colonie on August 19.

Police said Tejada called Electric City Taxi for a ride from Motel 6. Investigators said he then held a knife to the driver’s throat, robbed him and began attacking him…
