A developer whose plan for a mixed-use development in the historic Pearidge community was rejected by Canton officials is returning to the city with a new proposal that includes an attainable housing component.
On Thursday, the Canton City Council heard a presentation from Planning and Zoning Manager Thomas Trawick regarding a request from Lee Lusk of Pearidge Land Investments, LLC to annex and rezone about 62.17 acres from single-family residential (R-40, Cherokee County) to planned development-mixed use (city) to build a mixed-use development on five parcels at 680 and 700 Pearidge Road in the Canton area on a combined 68.5 acres. The applicant is also requesting master plan approval for the proposed mixed-use development.
