40-acre County Square development cleared for construction in Greenville

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Construction is ready to begin on the massive 40-acre County Square development along University Ridge, county officials announced during a Greenville City Council work session.

The project will feature 10 mixed-use buildings, three parking decks, and a mix of residential and retail spaces, including a Whole Foods grocery store. Mayor Knox White said the development is designed to extend downtown Greenville into a walkable and diverse urban district.

Work on the Howe Street parking garage, aimed at easing congestion in the West End and near Fluor Field, began earlier this summer and is scheduled for completion next May…
