Bronson Mothers’ Milk Bank marked its 20th anniversary by highlighting two decades of donor milk collection, processing and distribution that have supported premature and medically vulnerable infants in Michigan and across the United States.
The Kalamazoo-based milk bank has grown from a program serving only Bronson’s neonatal intensive care unit into a statewide and national resource, according to a community announcement. Since opening in 2006, the organization has approved 5,248 donors, received 3,619,920 ounces of donor milk and pasteurized 3,047,652 ounces through Feb. 1.
The organization reported record donor milk collection in 2025, receiving 401,071 ounces during the year. It pasteurized 356,652 ounces and dispensed 351,918 ounces while working with 505 active contributing donors…
