ORLANDO, Florida – The National Weather Service in Melbourne forecasts another hot and humid day across East Central Florida today, with heat indices expected to reach up to 105°F.
High coverage of rain and storms is expected later today into this evening, with the best chances over the interior counties (rain chances 60–80% near Orlando, Kissimmee and the I-4 corridor). Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and linger into early evening.
A few stronger storms will produce locally strong wind gusts up to 55 mph, frequent lightning, and very heavy rain.
