Shopping center demolished after 39 years to make way for Whole Foods rival and luxury apartments

A SHOPPING center is in for a major redevelopment, with a two-story portion of it to be demolished to make way for new tenants — including a Whole Foods competitor.

The 39-year-old shopping hotspot will see a brand-new Sprouts Farmers Market as well as hundreds of luxury apartments.
