A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly entering a closed Secret Service checkpoint near Mar-a-Lago and driving toward several law enforcement officers before a standoff that ended with her dog dead and an officer bitten.
Alexa Rae Scharf, 29, of Loxahatchee, was taken into custody on Tuesday, Aug. 25, following the confrontation along South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach, CBS12 reported, citing an arrest report.
