CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The former principal of a Cedar Rapids charter school has been sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to pay a $105 after allegedly threatening to slit someone’s throat earlier this year.
Court documents show Justin Blietz took a plea deal earlier this month on a third-degree harassment count and getting a first-degree charge dropped in exchange. He’ll get judgement deferred for one year.
Third-degree harassment under Iowa law does not require proof of a threat of bodily injury or death. Blietz pleaded guilty only to that lesser offense…
