EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A West El Paso bar has been cleared after an investigation started following a deadly crash and an alleged 19-year-old drunk driver who was drinking in the establishment.
According to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, its investigation into Hope & Anchor has been closed “due to lack of substantiating evidence.”
The investigation had started in April, after 19-year-old Ambar Chavira was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter with vehicle and collision involving death after investigators said she had been allegedly drinking at Hope & Anchor before she got behind the wheel and, on the 6300 block of North Desert Boulevard, crashed into the back of an SUV, killing 56-year-old Jaime Andrade…
