ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — Drivers in northeast Albuquerque can expect to see some traffic changes starting Thursday, as Alameda Boulevard between Rich Court and Barstow Street will undergo some upgrades. The project by the City’s Department of Municipal Development is meant to “improve traffic flow, walkability and drainage in the area.”
According to the city, Westbound Alameda from Rich to Barstow will become two driving lanes with a left-turn lane onto southbound Barstow. There will also be an eight foot sidewalk added along northern Alameda, which will connect to the existing sidewalk at Rich and on northbound Barstow. The project also includes a storm drain on the east side of Barstow.
