SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — South Dakota ranchers and producers are dealing with high beef prices and low cattle prices.
Hundreds of cattle are being sold at Sioux Falls Regional Livestock, but just weeks ago, similar cattle were selling at higher prices.
“It’s going to hurt, you know,” Mike Koedam, owner of Sioux Falls Regional Livestock, said. “Not that it’ll break people, but it sure can. You start taking 350, 450, 500 dollars a head less than you were here about 30 or 45 days ago, and it starts to hurt.”…
