49th St. bridge to reopen September

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An update was given Wednesday on various ongoing Sioux Falls construction projects.

Troy Miller, principal engineer with the city, said at a city briefing that work will continue on the 49th Street bridge over Interstate 29, with an expected reopening in mid-September. The bridge remains closed.

Lincoln High traffic delays expected Thursday

26th Street and Marion Road’s asphalt overlay will be completed this week on 26th Street, but Marion Road’s will continue into October.

Minnesota Avenue from 2nd to 8th Streets will have ongoing construction, with one lane open to traffic in each direction. Miller said traffic will impact those traveling to Hawthorne Elementary. No expected completion date was shared…
