LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Nevada state leaders, local health care officials and parents are raising concerns about the growing impact of shutting down maternal health units, following a decision by Henderson Hospital to close its NICU and maternal units.
The hospital is closing the units to make space for more surgical inpatient beds and rooms. The decision goes into effect at the end of next month and will reduce the number of NICUs in Clark County to eight.
