HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A grand jury indicted a former New York City police officer and Pasco County deputy on six felony counts stemming from the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile, authorities announced.
David Agosto, 57, was indicted on Aug. 18, 2026, following an investigation by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges include one count of capital sexual battery on a victim under 12, one count of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 12, two counts of sexual battery on a child between 12 and 16 by a person in familial or custodial authority, and two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child between 12 and 18…
