A road widening project on Blake Bottom Road is taking a toll on a new restaurant that opened just as construction began.
Pico Fresh Mex opened its doors in October 2025, only for work to start on the road out front shortly after. Owner Allen Sandoval says the ongoing project has significantly cut into his business.
“It’s very hard to maintain a business, especially when you’re the only business on this road,” Sandoval said. “It is really affecting us directly. Our sales dropped about 50% since they started working.”…
