Weekend bridge work continues on Route 222 in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — For the third consecutive weekend, PennDOT will be performing expansion-dam work on a Route 222 bridge in Lancaster County.

Lane and shoulder restrictions will be on the bridge, which crosses over North Church Street in West Earl Township, beginning Friday at 7 p.m., finishing up at 6 a.m. on Monday.

The left lane and shoulder on the southbound side of Route 222 will be closed during this time. The southbound deceleration lane for the off-ramp to Route 772 (Brownstown/Rothsville) will be restricted, though the ramp itself will stay open.

The left lane restriction will be lifted Monday morning, though the right shoulder and deceleration lane will remain restricted through Wednesday. Two thru lanes will be available…
