Gov. Hochul continues fight to crack down on car insurance fraud

KEW GARDENS, Queens (PIX11) — A crackdown on staged car crashes and their impact on insurance bills continues as Gov. Kathy Hochul and the Queens District Attorney are expected to announce the sentencing of two people accused of deliberately staging crashes to collect insurance money.

Staged crashes can look like accidents, but investigators say many are anything but accidental.
