The weather pattern is finally starting to change after a long stretch of warm and dry weather. We haven’t had measurable rain since July 30th, and we haven’t had a high temperature below 70° since July 16th.
Thursday will bring a noticeable change, with more clouds, cooler temperatures, and a few showers as a weak weather system moves through. A few showers are already showing up along the Coast, with more developing inland later Thursday morning and afternoon.
Don’t expect a soaking rain, though. Showers will be very light and spotty, and most of Western Washington will either stay dry or pick up less than a hundredth of an inch. You may see a few sprinkles or a brief shower, with the best chance for heavier rain along the Coast and in the Cascades…
