Georgia’s last Bahama Breeze location will be gone with the wind come Aug. 29, according to the owner of the once-popular chain.
Darden Restaurants, the Florida company that operates the chain, told USA TODAY on Aug. 27 that its Kennesaw Bahama Breeze location, about 27 miles from Atlanta, will eventually be converted to a Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and will reopen Sept. 23.
The company, which owns Bahama Breeze, Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse and more restaurant chains, announced the shuttering of the Caribbean-themed chain earlier this year, describing it as “no longer a strategic priority.”
