New attorney seeks to seal filing in former Mobile Co. Sheriff’s Sgt. federal case

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (NBC 15) — A new court filing in the federal case against Daniel Holifield indicates he may be providing—or seeking to provide—information to investigators involving possible criminal conduct by people who have not been charged in his case.

Defense attorney Dennis Knizley filed a notice of appearance Monday to represent Holifield, who had previously been represented by the Federal Public Defender’s Office.
