Gov. Polis pardons Colorado woman 20 years later

LONGMONT, Colo. (KDVR) — A second chance is something Sabrina Flanagan said she once wasn’t sure she could achieve.

In 2006, Flanagan pleaded guilty in Arapahoe County to possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, one gram or less, and marijuana possession.

Looking back, Flanagan said she was struggling with substance use, homelessness and the legal system.

“I struggled with substance use. I had some trouble with drugs and living unhoused and the legal system. And I got in trouble,” Flanagan said…
