WHEATRIDGE, Colo. (KDVR) — The Colorado Department of Transportation is sending a well-before heads-up about construction on some older bridges on Interstate 70 in the Wheat Ridge area.
“The widening of the Kipling Street on- and off-ramps is in preparation for the extended closures where traffic will be directed off I-70 through those on- and off-ramps,” Maddie Garbalagtys, a CDOT spokesperson, said.

Both the I-70 bridges at Kipling Street and Garrison Street need some work, but only at Kipling Street will drivers have to navigate overnight closures in September.
