ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – One person was taken to the hospital after a crash that left a garbage truck overturned on its side Thursday morning at a busy Anchorage intersection, according to the Anchorage Fire Department.
The wreck took place at the intersection of East Benson Boulevard and the Seward Highway.
The garbage truck came to rest on its side very close to the Allen & Peterson Cooking and Appliance Store.
The car was left with substantial damage to its front end.
