BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County businesses could soon have more opportunities to obtain liquor licenses under a new allocation announced by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).
ABC said Kern County will be eligible for new liquor licenses, including an additional 25 on-sale general licenses, 25 intercounty on-sale license transfers and one off-sale general license.
Applications for new or original on-sale general licenses will be accepted at local ABC offices from Sept. 14, 2026, through Sept. 25, 2026, officials said.
