PALMETTO, Fla. (WFLA) — A Lakewood Ranch man lost his vision and with it, much of what he loved about life. But then came a guide dog that changed everything.
Mark Thornsborough was a marathon runner and avid biker. Then, in 2021, he lost his vision and much of his independence with it.
“Everything came to a screeching halt,” Thornsborough said. “It was very hard on me. I was depressed; I was angry; I was withdrawn. It made it very, very hard on my family and friends because I didn’t want to do anything, I just sat in the house.”…
