GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A new general order issued by the Gainesville Police Department requires officers to report contact with anyone suspected of being an “unauthorized alien.”
GPD officials said the requirement comes from the state. Officers must fill out a form and report to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement if they believe someone is in the country illegally.
