One of the many slogans for Progressive Insurance is “name your price”. Well let’s hope the Miami Hurricanes asked for a big one.
Miami athletics has announced an agreement with the insurance company to have the company’s logo on all Hurricanes home games at Hard Rock Stadium this year. Progressive will also be the presenting sponsor of the Miami-FSU game, which will be held in Miami on October 17.

“Few rivalries in college sports carry the passion, history and statewide significance of Miami vs. Florida State,” said Jesse Marks, University of Miami Athletics Chief Revenue Officer said in a statement released by the Miami athletics department. “Progressive’s partnership allows us to build on that tradition while creating an innovative model for how brands can engage with our fans. We’re proud to welcome Progressive to the Miami Hurricanes’ family by celebrating this rivalry.”
The Miami-FSU rivalry has held strong despite the Seminoles’ struggles
It’s no secret that Miami is up right now and FSU is very down. The Hurricanes have won 23 games over the past two seasons and advanced to the CFP Championship game in 2025. Meanwhile, the Seminoles have won seven games, none on the road and haven’t made a postseason appearance since losing 63-3 to the Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl. Their football operations also seem to be poorly run and the program owes Mike Norvell so much money they can’t fire him…
