SJSU student housing hub in downtown San Jose is bought by Texas firm

SAN JOSE — A student housing complex in downtown San Jose has been bought by a Texas-based group in a deal that adds to the recent burst of purchases of apartment deals in the Bay Area’s largest city.

27 North, a housing hub for San Jose State University students, has been bought for $59.4 million, according to a grant deed filed on Aug. 27 at the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
