Today :Isolated showers and thunderstorms will linger this morning across portions of the northwestern and northern South Plains before gradually dissipating. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions our forecast this morning. Sunny to mostly sunny conditions are forecast by midday and into the afternoon. A stray shower or thunderstorm may develop later this afternoon near the Texas and New Mexico border. It will be slightly warmer on this Friday. High temperatures will be in the middle 90s to the upper 90s. The wind will be out of the south-southeast 5 to 15 mph. The chance for rain is 20 percent this morning and then 10 percent this afternoonSunrise is at 7:19 AM CDT.Tonight :Clear to mostly clear conditions and mild to warm weather is forecast this evening and tonight across the area. A stray shower or thunderstorm could develop early this evening near the Texas and New Mexico border. Low temperatures will range from the middle 60s to the middle 70s. The wind will be out of the south-southeast 5 to 10 mph. The chance for rain is 10 percent.
