My husband is currently beside himself. Absolutely exasperated. You see, someone has parked a car in front of our house, and it hasn’t moved in weeks. While I remind him that it’s a public street and that it’s perfectly legal to do so, he doesn’t care.
Apparently, this is a real sore spot for a lot of men. He has no idea whose car it is, and frankly, he doesn’t care. In his eyes, the owner of that car is practically satan.
Harsh? I sure think so. But again, I’ve gotta say there’s even a part of me that gets annoyed when this happens. Timnath (the town we live in) is pretty dang cozy, and everyone knows everyone else, so a random car parked for weeks is nothing short of a slap in the face.
So what are the official rules?
In Fort Collins, it’s considered acceptable to leave a vehicle in front of someone else’s house for 48 hours. Past that, the man of the house will start frothing at the mouth. After more than 48 hours, the vehicle could be considered abandoned and could even be towed. Sweet justice…
