Indianapolis facing animal welfare crisis
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Animal welfare advocates in Indianapolis say they are concerned about a pet overpopulation crisis as local shelters experience a surge in dogs and cats.
They say there has been an increase in stray animals and unneutered pets since the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving area facilities struggling to accommodate animals.
