UPDATE: Power has now been restored for Dominion Energy customers in those areas.
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — More than 4,000 Dominion Energy customers in Norfolk, primarily in the Ghent area of Norfolk, were without power at some point early Friday morning, but power was restored before sunrise.
Dominion Energy’s power outage map showed the area concentrated from near Sentara Norfolk General Hospital not far from the Midtown Tunnel up Colley Avenue and Hampton Boulevard toward West 23rd and West 24th streets in the West Ghent area of the city. It also extends to areas including Claremont Avenue and Weyanoke Street near the Weyanoke Bird and Wildflower Sanctuary.
